Madeleine McCann’s parents have broken their silence after a DNA test concluded that a Polish woman claiming to be their missing daughter tested negative.
Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, have refused to confirm the negative DNA test results of Julia Faustyna, who had claimed on social media that she may be the girl who went missing on a family holiday more than a decade ago.
“There is nothing to report at this time. If there is, it will come from the Metropolitan Police,” the family spokesperson said.
The test results were revealed Monday night by Fia Johansson, a private investigator working with Faustyna.
“She is absolutely 100 percent Polish,” Johansson said.
“She is a small percentage of Lithuanian and Russian, but the test results show that she is Polish.”

Faustyna, 21, had been claiming on Instagram and TikTok that she could be McCann due to their shared age and looks.
He did everything possible in an attempt to verify his identity, including submitting samples for three different forensic exams to delineate his DNA sequence and a 23andMe-style genetic test to establish his ancestry, but it was no match.
The Polish girl doubled down during a recent appearance on “Dr. Phil”, denying her parents’ claims that she stole her own birth certificate and childhood photos to hide her true identity.

In a written statement broadcast during the show, Faustyna’s parents, who have maintained they are her biological relatives, said it was “obvious that Julia is not Maddie.”
“For us as a family, it is obvious that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and niece. We have memories, we have photos,” they said. “Julia also has these photos because she took them from the family home with her birth certificate, as well as numerous hospital discharges.”
Faustyna denied her family’s account and accused her mother of always changing the subject whenever Faustyna questioned her parentage or birth.
She told Dr. Phil that she has never seen a photo of her pregnant mother and has few memories of her childhood.
Faustyna, who is also listed in some reports as Julia Wendell or Julia Wandelt, has previously said that if ancestry and DNA results show she is not Madeleine, she would not want contact with her Polish family either.
“If it’s my mother, I don’t want to have contact with her, that’s all, but I think she’s not my mother,” he said.
Madeleine McCann was 3 years old when she disappeared from her bed during a family vacation in Portugal in May 2007.
Julia is also facing a nervous wait for the results of further health tests as doctors fear she may have leukemia, Dr Johansson has revealed, with Julia’s permission, to The Sun.
She said: “Her health is very poor, she has severe asthma and suffers from a lot of bone pain.
“She is scheduled for a CT scan and MRI due to pain in her bones.
“His blood work is also abnormal, so my doctor here in the US is looking into whether he might have leukemia, so we are waiting for the results.
“And if you need any treatment, we’ll make sure you get it.”
