Lance Reddick’s cause of death has been revealed.
The late “Wire” star had two heart conditions: ischemic heart disease and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, according to his death certificate. obtained by TMZ Thursday.
Ischemia is a condition in which blood flow and oxygen are restricted or reduced in a part of the body, by the American Heart Association.
Meanwhile, arteriosclerosis occurs when “the blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients from the heart to the rest of the body become thick and stiff,” sometimes restricting blood flow to organs and tissues, according to the Mayo Clinic. Clots can trigger a heart attack or stroke.
Reddick was found dead on March 17 at his home in Studio City, California. He was 60 years old.
Law enforcement sources previously told TMZ that the actor died of “natural causes.”
Reddick’s death came at a time when he was still actively working and busy.
He was in the middle of a press tour for “John Wick: Chapter 4,” which opened in theaters on March 23.

In one of his final interviews, Reddick called his co-stars Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane his “family”.
“You see, with the three of us, it’s not just the family you’re born into, but the family you created and how much of a family we really are,” he said while sitting next to his co-stars on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
Reddick played the role of Charon, a hotel concierge and old acquaintance of John Wick, for nearly 10 years in the action movie franchise.
At the premiere of the fourth film, Reeves, 58, honored his late friend with a blue ribbon.
The “Speed” star also said of Reddick on the red carpet: “He was a beautiful person, a special artist (and) a man of grace and dignity (with) such passion for his craft.
“Having had the opportunity to work with him for 10 years and four movies (on the franchise) is something very special to me. It sucks that he’s not here.
