Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler talk about ‘Murder Mystery 2’, close friendship and on-screen body count -Et

Watch any interview with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler together and it’s pretty clear that famous actors enjoy each other’s company. Spend any moment in the same room with them and the vibes are contagious.

They use words like “easy,” “fun,” and “chill” to describe each other.

“I know what makes her happy,” says Sandler, 56. “I like to see her happy.”

“I love seeing him happy,” Aniston, 54, replies. “We take care of each other. We love each other’s families. We love each other’s friends. We just have history. And it’s something we cherish.”

That history includes their first film together, the 2011 romantic comedy. follow me the roll. The stars’ colleagues in the new sequel enjoyed witnessing their friendship up close.

“What you see on screen, when you feel that chemistry, you’re seeing the same thing off screen,” says director Jeremy Garelick, who was hired to direct the sequel after co-writing Aniston’s hit drama in 2006. The breaking. “They feel like the best of friends. They have fun.”

“It’s a wonder to behold in person,” says Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim, after Yang), who plays the surly wedding guest and suspect of Countess Sekou. “I hope they keep doing this forever. Because it’s so good. And it’s so fun and fresh every time.” (Sandler and Aniston seem to acknowledge that a third is inevitable, though Sandler says they’ll be replaced by a fourth before returning for a fifth installment.)

Turner-Smith especially loved that her character was nasty to Aniston’s Audrey throughout the film. “It was really fun, especially because I love her. I’m obsessed with her. So it was fun to play that dynamic because it’s the complete opposite of what our dynamic really is.”

Enrique Arce (Terminator: Dark Fate) also has quite the dynamic with Aniston in murder mystery 2. As the philandering former soccer star Francisco, he constantly gets close to her.

“I thought, ‘If there’s ever a moment in my life where I can flirt with Jennifer Aniston and get away with it, this is the moment,'” laughs the Spanish actor. “So I followed him. It was fun. She’s so lovely. We’re friends now.”

Like any sequel, murder mystery 2 ups the ante, and here that includes a major scoop for Aniston.

The film marks the first time, to her knowledge, that she has killed someone on screen.

“I don’t think so,” muses the actress.

“When she was doing (Along came Polly), she tried to kill the ferret,” jokes Sandler, who also has a limited body count. “In Bulletproof, I shot some people,” says the actor of his 1996 action with Damon Wayans.

“Didn’t you (kill someone) in uncut gems?” Aniston asks.

“No, but something happened. Don’t tell him,” Sandler replies. the shocking ending to his 2019 sensation Safdie Brothers. “Something happens to me”.
