Roberto De Zerbi is not in the running to be Chelsea’s next manager.
The Italian has enjoyed a good season at Brighton and Hove Albion, taking them to sixth in the Premier League.
Chelsea are looking for a new head coach after parting ways with Graham Potter on Sunday night following a poor run of results and performances.
However, De Zerbi is not one of those being considered.
The Chelsea hierarchy hold Tony Bloom and Paul Barber in Brighton in high esteem, but De Zerbi does not fit the profile they are looking for.
The process of appointing a long-term replacement for Potter is underway.
The search is underway by the club’s co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley before a decision is made by co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.
